Miles always knew how to cheer me up but a trip to the zoo seemed a little childish. He was convinced however that if I fed and pet some animals, I would break out of this haze I was in. I don’t understand why he was so worried. Yes, it had been some time since my last relationship and it also had been a very long time since I hadn’t lived on my own, but my haze couldn’t be that thick. I felt more like I had just woken up from a long nap and was having a hard time waking up then a depressed haze. I suppose feeding the pandas would be a calming thing, after all Miles did have the best intentions. The one I was petting was named Andy, despite being female. She kept rolling around on her back and waving, I found it quite adorable. A sudden splashing noise pulled me out of my cute panda thoughts and directed me to a lake. A woman with long red wavy hair and a plaid shirt was leaping through the water. One of the zoo workers exclaimed “It’s Arielle!” before she dove back in the water and did not come back up again.
“Niamh?!” Jamie screamed as he pushed through the broken paned door, leaning against the chest of drawers he asked “Who were you talking to?” “I, I was having a private phone call if it is all the same to you.” “Why are you not fully dressed?” “I was gonna have a shower when Lauren ca..” Jamie interrupted Niamh’s speech by blowing his fuse. “You will not talk to her again. Ok?” Jamie, although collectively spoke in a calm manner, his fury spit out like venom, crushing Niamh to a minuscule dot in the ever growing gloom surrounding the couple. “Give me your phone.” Jamie was up for no discussion and Niamh could see the implications of not abiding by his rules. Slowly her hand lifted up to reveal a phone, she placed it upon Jamie’s hand and watched him tear the phone apart. She sat in horror, worried for herself and worried for Eugene, still hiding under the bed. “How will I talk to Satan now?” She thought.
Lauren and Miles were having a picnic; for some reason it was right next to a cliff. “Lauren, what are you doing?” Miles returned with a blanket and a flask of tea. “I want to live again Miles, I want to be free.” “Don’t be daft, you are fr..” “No, no I’m not. I have two kids and what do I have to show? Nothing. I’m still young for godsake, I could be and do whatever I want but I can’t.” Miles say quietly, realising how much he’d neglected Lauren’s feelings and his children. “I’m sorry.” he brought himself to say the two words, which would have made or broken the future in front of them. “Don’t say sorry, I’m going to the van.” Lauren was very clumsy and she fell of the cliff. “Lauren?” “HELP!” Miles screamed loud, loud enough for anyone to hear, he needed someone to hear.
“So you were unsuccessful in the sacrificing of the vampire child?” Satan asked Jamie. “Yes”
You know the punishment, do you not Jamie?” Satan asked. “Yes I do” “An eternal flushie in hell!” And so Jamie spent the rest of his existence with his head stuck in a toilet in hell. The end
Andy crept through the rooms, carrying a book and a cup of tea, finally, she rested within the living room. After a short period of time the door rattled and knocked. At first, the initial thought was that Claire had forgotten something, but she would have had her own keys, so there was no point of her knocking at the door when she could simply open it herself. Andy proceeded to ignore the interruption, they’d go away soon enough. “Andy, let me in.” the voice was coarse and familiar, too deep to be Eugene, far too manly for Claire. Andy crept towards the door, peering through the little hole within the door. “Oh, it’s you.”
Andy tiptoed towards the door, her hands dusted past the obstacles ahead of her. An gloomy aura gathered within the air and she pressed her body against the door, letting her hand reach down and caress the handle, she opened the door. “Andy, I need you, I want you.” Andy stood transfixed upon the man in front of her. “What… What about…” her words spluttered chaotically from her delicately placed mouth. He reached in to kiss her, her mouth interlocked with his. His hands glided around her waist and her hips pulled towards him. He pushed her further inside the flat, the door slamming behind them. Gasping for the shortest of breaths she whispered his name. “Alex.”
“Shit. That was close.” Andy breathed a sigh of relief as she went to grab another set of clothes. “Wait, what are you doing? Don’t, stay just how you are.” Alex carefully pushed Andy upon the bed, indicating round two was about to commence.
Eugene was slumped outside a rather large bed, his head rolled as he woke up with a spluttering snore. To the right side of him were empty bottles of vodka and smashed shot glasses, to the left there were clothes, women’s, men’s, general clothes. Something had gone on last night. Niamh wandered in carrying a tray, perfectly laid upon her hands. The tray carried one cup of strong black coffee, some toast, two paracetamol and a couple of strawberries. “Hello sleepy head…” Niamh smiled as she bent down to kiss his forehead. Eugene could not respond. His body felt paralysed, nothing could move, nothing except his eyes which pierced through the several layers of which Niamh stood. “Oh, don’t worry, it’ll wear off soon enough.” She chuckled as her hand reached for the coffee, placing it to Eugene’s lips he sipped delicately. The feeling slowly came back through his whole body, carefully starting to move before Niamh pushed two paracetamol within his mouth. “it’ll help, I promise.” She looked towards him and kissed his head, slowly creeping up to her feet, cautiously backing away, out of the door and into what seemed to be a living room. As Eugene stood his eyes traced the room and he found himself scrutinising every little detail. The photographs on the bedside table, the teal splashed against the walls heavily and a deep maroon bed spread, complete with nature traced in a gold fine pen
“What the fuck happened last night?” Eugene whispered under his breath, trying to retrieve his balance of which had wandered off to not be within his presence. He stood up carefully and lifted is wary wrist to check the time upon his watch. He read the time and briskly walked towards the small mirror within the somber bedroom, running his hand through his hair he rubbed his cheeks, trying to gain some life back within them. “Cigarette?” Eugene turned to face an open door, a woman occupying it. “Niamh, what do you want with me?” Eugene stumbled across the room to grab his jacket. “Well, Jamie told me how much you liked me and after last night…” “Last night?! What happened last night?! I don’t even want to know, get out my way.” Frantically, he pushed past Niamh, his hands fumbled for the front door handle, “It’s locked -Eugene.”
“Niamh, this isn’t fucking funny let me go, what we had has gone now.” Eugene stood strong, holding his hands to his waist, trying to prove his authority. “See, Eug… Do people still call you Eug? Well Eug, I know that you know, it’s not over, I know how much you still want me.” Niamh’s hands linked around his neck, carefully tugging on the end of his hairline which was timidly clung at the back of his neck. “Niamh…” Eugene sighed and lifted her up upon the side table, their lips interlocked like crystals forming between rocks, their bodies slammed together like the sea’s penetrative waves, the air was cool and clear, contradicting the acts of the room.
Niamh rolled upon her side and watched Eugene’s face twitch under the dim light spreading through the partially open blinds of the bedroom. “That wasn’t so bad was it?” Niamh smiled as she climbed under the quilted duvet sheet which covered her naked body. “Hmm” Eugene groaned as he turned to face her fully. “I’ve always liked you.” Niamh curled her hand under his head and let her carefully crafted fingers claw at the back of his hairline. “Niamh… I know, but what we had is in the past and I don’t know whe..” Eugene paused as he heard footsteps press down against the floorboards. “Shit, it’s Jamie.”
Jaime and Niamh took a pickup truck to the hospital because Satan had forced Lauren to go into labor early. Jamie watched from inside the car. He studied the people hustling through the doors of the hospital. “She in there?” Niamh asked. “Yeah, she’s in there alright.” Jamie pushed his hand past his lips, rubbing his nose in the process. “What’s the plan?” Niamh asked again. “We wait.” Jamie’s eyes focused upon the door once again. Darting slightly yet still keeping the sharpness of evil in his expressions. Niamh leaned forward for dramatic effect. “Niamh, stay back, you need to be in character.” Jamie snapped as she revealed more of herself. “I’m not so sure about this Jamie.” “You’ll do what I say.” Niamh stopped still and sloped back into the seat, no arguments where needed to show dominance. It was quite clear who was in charge.
Alex spotted Miles from the other end of the corridor and grinned. “Taking a break already?!” Alex shouted towards him ever so slightly smiling. “Al!” Miles dropped out the queue for the drinks he had gone to retrieve and strolled towards Alex. The door farthest away creaked open, Mia’s eyes glanced down towards the figure appearing around the door, revealing a scowl which had smeared across her face. Jamie walked slowly, almost stumbling with his cautiousness. Slipping away Mia guessed the room which withheld Lauren, Eugene, Andy and the twins. “Are you able to fit one more?” Jamie inquistively pondered, peering over Alex’s shoulder. “Jamie, surprised you turned up mate!” Miles grinned, shaking Jamie’s poisoned grip as a fake smile spurted across his manipulative face. “Well, couldn’t miss this could I?!” Jamie’s eyes pierced through the many complex levels of Miles’ mind, creating many emotions. “Are they in here?” Jamie’s head cocked to the side as he questioned Miles, suggesting a pathetic point towards the small room located to the far right of them. “Urm, yeah, Eugene and Andy are in there too, go and say hi eh!” Miles choked trying to get his words out in an audible sentence. Jamie thought it was only kind to let Alex and Miles catch up, walk in the room at their own pace therefore, he entered.
Eugene looked up towards the door as it creeped open. It revealed a cautious Jamie which startled Eugene, producing a reaction which can only be shown in soap operas. Standing up sharply, Eugene showed his dominance over the situation. His eyes pushed Jamie into the corner of the room and squeezed him down into the smallest of molecules, pathetic in existence. “Eugene, leave it… Not here, please.” Andy pleaded with Eugene whilst Mia and Lauren spectated over the spit. “Mate, I don’t want to cause a rift…” Jamie pleaded through his lies. Conniving intentions ran through Jamie’s body crushing the liar that tried so hard to keep within his disguise. “You know very well what you want to do!” Eugene’s voice raised to a shout and Alex and Miles entered. “What the hell are you doing?!” Miles exclaimed… “My kids are in here, you’re yelling, my girlfriends trying to relax, are you taking the piss?!” miles took all his anger out upon Eugene who then grabbed his coat and calmly left the hospital. Jamie sat content within the awkwardness of the room’s aura. “Can I ho…” “No.” Lauren interrupted Jamie’s question with a straight forward answer. “Miles, get him out of here.” “Lauren..” “I don’t fucking care get him out and get Eugene back, are you so scared of him, are you?!” within that moment the door propped open and a familiar girl walked into the room, “I’ve just come to check on your blood pressure…” the girls timid voice trembled as a certain pair of eyes touched her skin. “What’s your name?” “urm, it’s Niamh…”
“Niamh, would you take Jamie out please?” Miles threw his hands up in the air on absolute despair and walked over to Lauren, helping her up from where she was perched upon the hospital bed.
Niamh ran out of the hospital room chasing after Eugene. When she finally caught up to hi, she sucked out his soul causing him to collapse. Niamh picked up his body, threw it over her shoulder, and cared Eugene out to Jaime’s car.
“He knows I’m here, how’d you think I got in?” Jamie carefully asked with the dirtiest look inside his eyes. “What have you told him? If you as so much breathe a word to Eugene then I’ll…” “Do what? You’re pathetic.” Jamie spat out glaring at Andy with a hungry passion pouring out of his system. He stormed over to her and grabbed her face inside his grasp. “How da..” “Don’t even think about speaking.” Jamie’s eyes broke down Andy’s barriers. She’d given him her body, what else does he want.
“Remember that night when you said you wanted me? Eugene stood right next to me and you chose me. But Eugene took you home. Now you tell me that you want me again.” “Jamie, get. Off. Me!” Andy struggled within his wicked touch. Wanting to break free, someone waltzed through the door. “Eugene!” Andy scrambled and tried to break free of Jamie’s touch, he didn’t let go, he kept hold of her. Muffled screams could be clearly heard from the bedroom
and Eugene took precautions whilst slowly walking to find what his nightmares were made of.“Jamie, what’s going on? I told you not to touch her.” Eugene trembled at the sight of him, but his anger took over more as pleasure towards Jamie. Eugene pulled Jamie off Andy by his collar, “Come near me or her again and you’ll be a dead man.” Eugene acted cooly, but wanted to do so much more to hurt him, but Andy was present, therefore he couldn’t show his emotion or rage to the full extent.
“She never denied it you know, she wanted me inside her. Not like she never wants you.” Jamie got off the floor of which Eugene had thrown him upon. ”Tell him Andy, tell him who’s name you screamed before. Tell him who made love to you.” Jamie persisted in carrying on the mind games to torture Eugene more. “He never made love to me, he hurt me Eugene, please help me now..” Andy, still being held by Jamie’s strong grip, pleaded with an angry, distraught Eugene.
As she wasn’t too busy this afternoon and her office consisted of her, a desk, 4 blank walls and a door, she agreed. Any new face would bring out the colours. “So what could I help you with?” she asked him, slowly looking down at the picture of Eugene on the desk. “Sorry, I should have asked, are you and Eug ok?” “Yeah, of course we are, two peas in a pod we are.” she smiled taking her eyes off of the computer. “First I need help with…” he leant over and kissed her.
Andy began to pull away. “Don’t…” he pulled her up from the chair and placed her upon the desk, leaving Andy gasping for air. Jamie rejected her struggles by furiously kissing her, declining any real emotion to be felt, touching her gently but at the same time, dangerously. Her words couldn’t form, her lips couldn’t open. Screams for help couldn’t be heard anyway, the room was secluded. Her wrists twisted within the pain and crushed while struggling violently.
Jamie pushed her down, holding her there for a few minutes, before attacking her mouth for one more ferocious time. He left the room, calmly running his hand through his hair, smiling.Andy returned to Eugene’s apartment, hoping Jaime wouldn’t find her. “Don’t speak to soon honey.” Andy slowly turned to reveal her favourite worst nightmare. “Jamie…do..” She paused watching him carefully, breathing heavily she sat down,
placing one leg upon the other, keeping her eyes pressed against Jamie’s body as it moved closer. “You can’t keep doing this.” “You know what I don’t get Andy…” Jamie grabbed her wrist looking into her eyes, with his. “You never try to stop me. You enjoy this.” Andy jolted with the shock of the revelation. It was true, she knew what Jamie was doing was deceitful, wrong and completely unacceptable but she enjoyed it. She enjoyed the danger and the secrets.
It was a dark and stormy night when a hooded figure walked through Edinburgh, Scotland. He was headed for St. Mary’s Cathedral. As promised to him, the door was unlocked. The figure was not interested in pray and actually stuck his tongue out at the altar. It was hard to see though because it was dark and he was in a black cloak. The figure went underground into a basement, where pentagrams drawn in blood and decapitated goats were scattered. For some reason no one who attended the church seemed to notice there were dead goats in the basement. The figure lit some candles, and then removed his hood. He was none other than Jaime Cook the guitarist of Arctic Monkeys. “Oh mighty Satan, in exchange for my super awesome guitar skills, I became your servant. What is my next mission” Jaime asked. A goat head answered. “I have set eyes on this vampire girl.” The flame from a candle tipped and fell onto the pentagram, the flames relieved an image of a girl who looked about 12 with black hair. “Her name is like Andrew or something, make her fall in love with you then sacrifice her to me,” “How will I find her?” “She’ll be at your friend Miles birthday” “Oi, Alex are you having a party or something for Miles?” Jaime asked the next day at band practice innocently. “Yeah we’re going to a bar tonight, would you like to go?” Alex asked. “Yes please,” Jaime answered with an evil laugh. “Why are you laughing?” Alex asked confused. “Oh um because I’m in the mood for fun” Jaime replied. That night, Jaime sat at the bar waiting for Miles and the 12 year old vampire girl to show up. Jaime watches from afar as Eugene smiles at Andy and Lauren notices. “so you like what you see Eugene?” Lauren jokes and turns round to talk to Mia. Jaime snarls as Alex sits down next to Andy, looking her up and down.
